On 05-24-08 Deputies were called to the Ponderosa Motel Room number 7 reference a possible Meth lab at the location. When they arrived at the location they made contact with the occupants but as they did so, a male in the residence went out the back door.
Deputies searched the room but found no Meth lab at the location. Sgt. Kevin Arnold went outside to the rear of the residence and attempted to locate the subject who had fled out the back. A short time later Sgt. Arnold found the subject, later identified as Terry J. Weaver, 37 of Tonasket, hiding along the side of a metal shop building.

Weaver did not know he was being watched by Sgt. Arnold and appeared to be trying to bury something. After a few minutes he contacted Weaver and asked what he was doing and he stated he wasn't doing anything and denied he was trying to hide anything.

Deputy Kevin Kinman and K9 Jake (Drug K9), arrived at the location and began an area search where Weaver had been hiding. A few minutes later K9 Jake hit on an area around the metal shop building which Weaver had been hiding near. The area was cleared of debris and the Deputies discovered a plastic bag with white crystals in it, which later tested positive for Methamphetamine.

No lab was found at the residence and Weaver was booked into the Okanogan County jail on Possession of Methamphetamine.

On 05-24-08 at around 1:20 PM Deputies were detailed to a tractor accident on Pine Creek Road. When Deputies arrived they found that Harold F. Hill, 50 of Tonasket had died at the scene. It appears that Hill had been on a tractor working at the orchard. It is unclear if Hill had gotten of the tractor or fell, but the tractor was in reverse at the time and Hill had been trapped under the wheel. Hill was pronounce deceased at the scene.
